The panel clamp is a heavy duty woodworking clamp made of welded cold rolled steel . There are 3 sections and each section is rectangular in shape and the sides are 2" high and 3/8" thick. The middle section has arms on the left side and right side that are positioned in a wood frame that allow it to rotate 360 degrees. The middle section has a horizontal pipe clamp on the left side and right side that apply pressure on the workpiece in a horizontal direction. The bottom section fits inside the bottom of the middle section and there are vertical pipe clamps that clamp the bottom section to the middle section. The workpiece comprises individual boards of wood that are 3/4" thick that are glued edge-to-edge and placed on top of the bottom section and the top section is placed on top of the workpiece. There are vertical pipe clamps that clamp the top section to the middle section that applies pressure on the workpiece in a vertical direction. The bottom section and the top section can be removed 10 minutes after gluing the workpiece and the glue can be removed from the top and bottom surfaces of the workpiece. The advantages of the panel clamp is the panel is flat, the seams are tight, and there is very little glue on the top and bottom surfaces of the workpiece.
